Definitions

“Seller”, “we”, “us”: Sirius Books.

“Buyer”, “you”: the customer purchasing goods via our site.

“Goods”: physical books, stationery, and digital content sold via our site.

 

Scope

These Terms govern your purchase of Goods from our website. Additional terms may apply to specific promotions, digital purchases or third-party services.

 

Orders and acceptance

• Order placement creates an offer to purchase. We confirm acceptance by sending an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel orders (e.g., out-of-stock, pricing errors).

• Contract language: English. All contracts are governed by UAE law.

 

Price & payment

• Prices are as listed at checkout. We reserve the right to correct errors.

• Payment is due at order. Payment gateways process card data; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. We are not liable for payment gateway failures beyond our control.

 

Delivery & risk

• Delivery times are estimates. Risk of loss transfers on delivery to the specified address. You must inspect goods at receipt and report visible damage within 48 hours.

 

Cancellation, returns & refunds

• Cancellation before dispatch: email customers@siriusbooks.ae to request cancellation.

• Standard returns: non-faulty, unopened physical goods may be returned within 7 days from delivery for exchange or refund; buyer pays return postage unless otherwise stated.

• Faulty or misdescribed items: report within 14 days for collection and full refund or replacement at our cost.

• Digital goods: non-refundable after download/access, except where the law mandates otherwise.

• Refunds will be made using the original payment method within a reasonable time after receipt and inspection.

Product descriptions & availability

• We strive for accurate descriptions and images. Slight differences may occur. Availability is subject to stock. Pre-order and backorder terms will be explained at purchase.

 

Intellectual property

• All intellectual property on the site belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or commercially exploit content without written permission.

Limitation of liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sirius Books’ liability for any direct loss arising from use of goods or the website is limited to the purchase price of the goods. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses (including loss of profit), except as required by applicable law.

Force majeure

• We are not liable for failure or delay due to events beyond our reasonable control (strikes, natural disasters, courier failures, supply-chain disruption).

Complaints & dispute resolution

• Contact customers@siriusbooks.ae for complaints. If unresolved, customers may escalate to UAE consumer protection authorities. These Terms are governed by UAE federal law and subject to the jurisdiction of UAE courts, unless mandatory jurisdiction rules provide otherwise.

 

Privacy

• Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy (link). By using the website you consent to our processing of your data as set out there.

Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified on the site. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
